Understanding E- forms E109 form E109 form Thursday, 09 August 2007 E109 The E109 may cover your family living in France.   Qualifying conditions: You remain living in the United Kingdom working and paying National Insurance contributions.  This may apply in the case of either spouse. The spouse remaining in the United Kingdom will be able to use the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) for visits to France of up to 180 days a year. The ‘European Health Insurance Card Holiday Top up Plan’ is a top up plan designed to complement such a situation.
