The E121 will cover you and any dependents resident in France by affiliation to its Health Service until each one qualifies in their own right or you cease to be resident in France.
E121 Qualifying conditions:
(1) To have reached the official retirement age and be in receipt of an Old Age Pension or other State Pension that qualifies.
(2) To be in receipt of an Industrial Injury Benefit or an Occupational Disease Benefit in relation to a specific condition.
In the case of those who are married, the E121 may cover the spouse as the holder’s dependent beneficiary. It may also cover dependent children living with you. It should be stressed that this only applies where CPAM agrees that the legal definition of ‘Dependant’ is satisfied under French Law.
Please contact the Department of Work and Pensions if you have any queries regarding whether this is appropriate to you.
